I am an Architecture Student (UniSA) and qualified Interior Designer, living, studying and working on Kaurna Land (Adelaide, South Australia). My current studies have expanded my creativity in architectural design whilst developing the practical skills needed to become an architect.
I am passionate about sustainable design and feel that as architects and designers we have a responsibility to look for and implement more sustainable building practices.
I believe that as Australian architects and designers, we have a unique opportunity to develop an Australian Architectural language through designing in collaboration with our first nations people and in response to our surrounding landscape.
My background in Psychology and Interior Design has shaped my strong interest in understanding how architecture can influence and alter the experience of the world around us. I have recently spent time growing my understanding of how gender equality and minority representation can be influenced by architecture and how important the Architect’s role is in the creation of equitable outcomes in our communities. This theme is something that I am interested in pursuing further in my Masters studies.
